Department History
The Pharmacy Department of ATBUTH, Bauchi traces its origin to the establishment of the teaching hospital itself. From its inception, the pharmacy Department has played a vital role in fulfilling the hospital's mission to provide accessible, efficient and acceptable healthcare services, in line with the institution's broader vision.
The Pharmacy Department was created to manage the Pharmaceutical needs of the hospital's growing patient population, ensuring procurement, storage, distribution, and dispensing of medicines and related health products. It also supports clinical care through pharmaceutical care services, drug information provision, patient counselling, and pharmacovigilance activities.
